Over the past year, the Chamber has benefited from the focused and dedicated leadership of CEO Barry Young, who strengthened its operational foundation, setting the stage to now pursue larger, multi-year strategic goals and positioning the organization for future success. After thoughtful consideration, Barry has chosen to return to retirement as the organization transitions into its next phase of growth. The Board of Directors extends its sincere gratitude for that service and the meaningful progress achieved during this important period.
“As a Board, we are incredibly thankful for the leadership that helped bring the Chamber to the strong and stable position it holds today,” said Tommy Decker, Chair of the Board of Directors. “Because of that work, we are now ready to build on this momentum and expand our impact in even greater ways.”
This transition aligns with a period of growing visibility and success for Hendersonville, as the city continues to earn recognition for its strong economy, vibrant small business landscape, and high quality of life. These distinctions reflect not only our momentum but also the collective commitment of our business community and partners working together to move Hendersonville forward.
With a solid foundation in place, the Chamber is now shifting its focus toward a broader, long-term strategic vision. This next phase emphasizes multi-year planning, scalable growth initiatives, and enhanced support for a rapidly evolving business landscape.
