A distinguished graduate from Nashville Law School, where he earned top honors, Hunter brings a wealth of experience and passion for elder law to the firm.

Hunter joined Johnson McGinnis in 2018 as a Public Benefits Specialist, where he made significant contributions by helping clients secure thousands of dollars in benefits from the VA, both service-connected and non-service-connected pensions. He also played a crucial role in saving clients over $1 million on their Part D prescription drug coverage.

“I have a passion for helping seniors,” said Hunter. “My time at the firm as a public benefits specialist taught me a lot about the unique role elder law attorneys play in walking alongside older adults and their families during some of the most difficult life experiences they may ever encounter. I discovered my love for the law and wanted to serve seniors in that capacity.” Before joining Johnson McGinnis, Hunter held various roles at the Upper Cumberland Development District's Area Agency on Aging and Disability. His experience includes serving as a Wellness Site Champion, working on the Senior Medicare Patrol, and coordinating benefits outreach as the SHIP Benefits Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator, where he managed and trained a team of volunteers assisting seniors and disabled adults with Medicare.
