CHAMBER AWARDS LUNCHEON

On Tuesday, June 08, 2021, the Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce held its annual awards luncheon celebration, at Lighthouse on the Lake in Hendersonville sponsored by Simmons Bank.“The awards luncheon was an opportunity for members to come together in a relaxed setting and celebrate the accomplishments of member companies in addition to our volunteers, ambassadors, and past and incoming Board Members.” Kathleen Hawkins, Chamber CEO.

The Chamber Volunteer of the Year Award is presented to a member for outstanding participation in Chamber activities. It is based on number of hours donated as well as results achieved, spirit of cooperation, and community concern expressed. This individual is the epitome of being a volunteer. If you have attended a Chamber event, you have seen her. She is hard working, dedicated and committed to serving our community. This Volunteer has worked registration tables, set up for events, and served as an Ambassador and a Board member. She has an amazing attitude and zest for all things networking. There is no job too big or small that she isn’t willing to do and probably has done for us. We are thrilled this year to present the 2021 Volunteer of the Year award to Kelley Crecelius with First Horizon Bank.

Hendersonville’s business community is growing and we are fortunate to have many businesses within our community that stand out and give back in more ways than one. These businesses are the heartbeat of this community. In order to best represent our membership, we will present a Small Business (less than 30 employees) and Large Business (more than 31 employees) of the Year Award. The business of the year award goes to the member company that demonstrates financial success, progressive management, superior customer service and concern for the community. Again this year, we allowed our membership a say in the final decision by opening it up to nominations and a committee vote.

First is our Small Business Award. Congratulations to our nominees:

Café 393 on Main, Mason and Associates Law Firm, Navarro Creative Group, Sanders Ferry Pizza & Pub, and Sign Gypsies of Nashville.

Our Small Business Award winner is a locally owned business known for its’ passion to serve our community. Over the last year, employees have bragged about how they take the service and safety of the community and friends very seriously. Over the last year, there have been days when they have given 100% of beer sales to support tornado victims, held a fundraiser for the family of MPO Spencer Bristol, supported Gene Brown Elementary and Hendersonville High School, raised money for Hendersonville’s First Responders and Nurses, plus they have even sold girl scout cookies, The owner and their staff goes out of their way to bring happiness to their customers and our community.  It is no surprise that the Small Business of the Year Award for 2020-2021 goes to Sanders Ferry Pizza and Pub.

Next is our Large Business award. Congratulations to our nominees:

Aergo Solutions, Celebrity Coaches, Osram Novita, TriStar Hendersonville Medical center, Vanderbilt Primary Care Hendersonville.

Our Large Business of the Year recipient worked feverishly to protect the community during the Pandemic. They made personal sacrifices above and beyond the call of duty. They comforted our loved ones when we couldn’t be with them. They are Proud Chamber partners and always here to serve our Chamber and the members within our community. This year’s winner has been a member of the Chamber since 1977. We are thrilled to present the 2020-2021 Large Business of the Year award to TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center.
