By the support of Piedmont Natural Gas and the generous Hendersonville business community, the Chamber Foundation will be able to grant an additional $6,140 straight to Hendersonville area schools in October. The purpose of the grant program is to address a unique need or to develop a creative new program which advances teaching and learning within the guidelines of the respective public or private school.  The grant project must fit within the established mission of the school and coincide with the goals and objectives of the school or school system.

On October 11, 2022, the Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the Golden Apple Teacher Appreciation night where $30,000 or more will be granted to those teachers who applied.

The Chamber Foundation is the 501(c)(3) non-profit arm of the Hendersonville Area Chamber whose mission is to provide educational resources to the Hendersonville community. Fundraising for the Foundation is obtained through personal and business donations, advertising sales for the City Guide, and the annual Freedom Festival event held every July 3rd. Since its inception, the Chamber Foundation has donated over $400,000 to support teachers and we hope to continue to increase the level of funding for this project.

The Hendersonville Chamber Foundation has created a Golden Apple Grant program to promote education in the greater Hendersonville area as served by the Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce.  Again, thank you to Piedmont Natural Gas for challenging all of our members to contribute to our students lives and future workforce.
