*For Immediate Release*

Things will be different this year for the City of Hendersonville’s annual July 3rd Celebration, but different doesn’t mean bad. With the help of many gracious sponsors, hardworking volunteers and members of the local music industry, the show will go on!

The Hendersonville Parks Department invites you to join us for Stripes, Stars and Guitars, Hendersonville’s 3rd of July event. Held at Drakes Creek Park, Stripes, Stars and Guitars will feature musical performances from special guests leading up to this year’s premiere fireworks display. In addition to the live music, attendees can visit 615 Eats, featuring great and unique local food trucks.

“Our staff has worked really hard in a short amount of time to put together what we feel will be one of the best events in all of middle Tennessee on this Independence Day Weekend. We are really excited about what we have been able to put together and can’t wait to start releasing the names of the artists performing in the coming days. In addition, thanks to the help of our sponsors, we will be able to add more of the largest shells to our fireworks show so that more residents all around the city can see the show from the comfort of their own homes, parking lots or the lake. The Governor’s office released guidelines for fairs, festivals and events last week that made having the typical event that the Chamber of Commerce has done such a good job running all these years nearly impossible to have. We feel like the Hendersonville Community wants to celebrate and we wanted to make sure if we were going to shoot off fireworks that we can follow the Governor’s guidelines while also allowing people to see them live. We also feel like we have many members of the music community, that work in all areas of the industry, that live right here in our city. To give them the opportunity to perform and show all of the area how Hendersonville does things is important to us. Things will be different, but we are going to do everything we can to give our residents a break to celebrate and provide some sense of normality in what has been a crazy time. We cannot thank Mike and Lindy Gaughan with RE/Max Choice Properties, Volunteer State Bank and the Sumner County Tourism office enough, for without their help this would not be possible this year”.
