GNRC Help for Restaurants
Restaurant Stimulus Program
The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (the Act) expands food assistance programming and provides stimulus opportunities for small businesses in response to COVID19. Funding for this program comes from the Act and expands the existing Senior Nutrition program of the Administration for Community Living (ACL) that provides home-delivered and pre-packaged meals to low-income seniors who depend on local nutrition programs every day.
GNRC is seeking small business restaurants and food establishments to become emergency meal vendors for Middle Tennessee’s seniors who are homebound or self-isolating for protection

What restaurants and food establishments can participate? Any restaurant defined as a "small business" serving Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Houston, Humphreys, Montgomery, Robertson, Rutherford, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Williamson, and Wilson Counties can participate through GNRC.
How is "small business" defined for this program? For this program, a "small business" is defined as any entity which has 50 or less employees for each working day during each of 20 or more calendar weeks in the current or proceeding calendar year AND whose Tennessee Department of Health’s current safety score is an A.
How will selected providers be paid for the meals? GNRC will provide a contract for each selected restaurant or food establishment (provider) to outline payment, invoicing, and reporting processes. Some advanced payment of funds for the purchase of food to assemble meals may be available. Initial contracts will not exceed $20,000 in value.
Will providers be responsible for delivery? If the restaurant or food establishment already has the infrastructure in place for delivery it can provide this service if desired. Those that do not have the ability to deliver, GNRC will coordinate volunteers for this service.
