Hendersonville, Tennessee –  October 22, 2018

Unemployment rates still at a record low of under 3% for the State of Tennessee, which means people are able to provide for their families, but it also means new and existing businesses have to get more competitive to retain or attract employees. The Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce wants to help our businesses prosper and thrive by keeping people working in Sumner County.

Many of the local businesses have expressed great concern with the need to find and retain good employees. Grand Opening dates have been pushed back because of work force development struggles, businesses have struggled due to poor customer service from the need to hire employees and many conversation have been discussed with prospective businesses who are hesitant coming to our community due to the now hiring signs on display everywhere. As a result of our businesses voicing a concern about hiring needs, we launched a Hendersonville is Hiring Initiative. This initiative includes: a Hendersonville is Hiring Facebook Page, Website marketing, commercial advertising, and job fairs.

The Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce and Union University are partnering together for their 2018 fall job fair on October 24, 2018 from 4:00-7:00PM. The event is FREE and Open to the Public. Hundreds of positions available from entry level to management.  Create a life with more balance, live and work closer to home.
