Echols Joins Community Life Bridge

Thursday, February 28, 2019 – Hendersonville, TN: Loren Echols has joined Community Life Bridge as Executive Director, the organization’s Board announced today.

“We are delighted to have someone of Loren’s caliber leading Community Life Bridge,” said Barbara Boone McGinnis, Certified Elder Law Attorney and partner at Takacs McGinnis Elder Care Law, PLLC, who chairs the organization’s board of directors. “Her experience as a leader in both for-profit and non-profit entities will be a tremendous asset for Community Life Bridge.”

Echols, who has been on the job since January 16, 2019, is guiding Community Life Bridge through the launch of Senior Ride Sumner, an affordable, assisted ride service that pairs seniors who need rides with volunteers who can provide them. Senior Ride Sumner is expected to go live in spring 2019. “The program is modeled after the successful Senior Ride program that launched in 2017 in Davidson County,” said McGinnis. “Senior Ride Sumner will address the lack of reliable transportation for Sumner County seniors and its effect on their physical, mental and spiritual health. It’s just the first of several programs Community Life Bridge will be implementing to help seniors.”

Community Life Bridge has been preparing to connect seniors to resources since its launch in 2013. For founder Robin Williams, the organization is poised to play a pivotal role in the lives of Sumner County’s older residents. “We’re especially concerned about seniors with limited income,” said Williams, who also serves as founder and CEO of SilverLink, a Nashville-based referral service for hospitals and individuals that provides a full spectrum of placement options and resources for seniors. “I am grateful for the outstanding charter members of Community Life Bridge as well as the talented board we’ve been able to assemble. We are very excited to introduce Loren!”

Prior to joining Community Life Bridge, Echols served as the Director of Administration at Cresent Fine Furniture in Gallatin and as Vice-President of Operations for ComForCare Senior Services in Hendersonville. She also spent seven years on staff at Indian Lake Peninsula Church in Hendersonville in children’s ministry. In addition to leading Community Life Bridge, Echols is a Sumner County Commissioner representing residents of District 7.

A Hendersonville native, Echols earned a Master of Science in Management and Leadership from Western Governor’s University, and a Bachelor of Science in Family Science from Tennessee Technological University.
