The Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce is Sumner County’s largest Chamber, representing the interests of its 800+ member businesses and 8,730 member employees throughout the area. The Chamber's talented, professional staff works with hundreds of engaged member companies, volunteers and partners in an effort to create and sustain a dynamic Hendersonville. In addition to helping advance member businesses, the Hendersonville Chamber works in partnership with other chambers in the Nashville region in pursuit of success in today’s global economy.

The Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce sets the standard for excellence in membership services, community alliances and business growth and development within the Hendersonville area. We connect business with customers, suppliers and important community issues, advocate for our broad and diverse members to create a climate of growth, promote business through a variety of marketing activities to the community and member to member, and support members through education, recognition and business assistance. Marybeth Curl, Special Events Coordinator
Marybeth moved to Hendersonville in the summer of 2016 from Chattanooga. Prior to joining the Chamber staff, she worked as a manager in the hospitality industry in Event Sales and Catering. She proudly achieved the "Make a Difference Medallion" at Embassy Suites Chattanooga for successfully leading the team in the grand opening of the hotel. She attended the University of Tennessee Chattanooga. Marybeth enjoys spending time with her husband Matt, and their dog, Tucker. She also has passion for volunteering in her community Food Banks and the Homeless Shelter and making a difference in the lives of others. She also enjoys reading, crafting and working out.
Amanda Foster, VP of Expansion and Retention
With over 10 years of experience, Amanda specializes in retention, expansion and small business consulting. She enjoys connecting business owners with the right tools to run their businesses successfully. Although raised in Paris, TX, she has found her home here in Tennessee. When she is not working at the Chamber, she loves spending time with her husband Scott, either fishing on the lake or helping him run one of their two companies; R & R Properties or Foster Engineering. Her greatest achievement is being a bonus mom to Cody, a UT-Knoxville student, and Blaze, a Hendersonville High School student. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from New Mexico State University and is currently pursuing certification as an Economic Developer through the International Economic Development Council.
Kathleen Hawkins, President/CEO
Kathleen Hawkins was born in Ohio but considers herself a Florida native. She is an accomplished business consultant, public speaker, and nine times published author. In 2007, she founded the first chapter of Women on a Mission to Earn a Commission (WOAMTEC), in Heathrow, Florida. WOAMTEC, which has a philosophy of helping women promote and grow their businesses while maintaining their priorities of faith, family and career, has grown rapidly to include more than 71 chapters and over 2,000 members in 15 states.
Previously, Kathleen taught marketing and business courses at Florida Metropolitan University where she also received her bachelor’s degree as well as her MBA. Her essays have been published in numerous lifestyle, business and photography journals. In addition, she is a three-time first place winner of PPA's AN-NE Award for Marketing Excellence.
Personally, Hawkins is a licensed foster parent and adoptive mother of three. She and her husband Jeff are strong advocates of adoption and in 2007 were awarded the Volunteer of the Year Award by the Florida Coalition for Children. She served as a committee member of The Governor's Faith Based Initiative Committee Work Group for Child Advocacy. In 2009, she was accepted as a member of the Compassion Florida Roundtable for the Governor's Volunteer Florida Foundation.
Megan Leander, Membership and Events Coordinator
Megan, Born and raised in Hendersonville is a proud alumni of Goodpasture Christian School. She studied Marketing and Management at the University of Tennessee at Martin and graduated in December of 2015. Towards the end of her time at UT Martin, she accepted an internship at the most magical place on earth, Walt Disney World. Though she loved working at Disney, it never felt quite like home, so she returned to Tennessee at the beginning of 2016 and found herself interning with Gaylord Hotels Resort and Convention Center. Megan enjoys spending time with her friends & family, cheering on the UT Vols & Nashville Predators, and showing everyone pictures of her dog, Boomer.
Alison Muncy, Director of Member Relations
Alison is originally from Ohio until coming to Tennessee to complete her degree in Business Administration/Marketing at Middle Tennessee State University and then to Meharry Medical College to pursue her Graduate Degree in Public Health. After moving to Hendersonville, Alison has spent her time volunteering in many activities including serving on the PTO Board with Indian Lake Elementary and Ellis Middle School. Alison has served as President for Beautiful Hendersonville and was a member of the 2011-2012 Leadership Sumner Class and was part of the Leadership Sumner Board until 2015. Alison joined the Chamber staff in January 2012. She has one daughter, Ella.
2016 Chamber Ambassadors
Ambassadors are knowledgeable volunteers serving in a year-round effort as the customer service representatives of the Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce, acting as a conduit between the Chamber staff and members.
