What Better Place to Network than on a Golf Course

Hello golfers, chamber members and those interested in networking opportunities,

Fresh on the heels of the Hendersonville Annual Golf Outing, an idea to combine networking opportunities, golf, food and drinks was brought up.  I am sending out this email to gauge interest and to gather ideas to evaluate the viability for a regular golf/networking event.  Here is what was initially suggested.

  • Make it a monthly event (May thru November).
  • Pick a Tuesday or Friday
  • Start at noon for 18 holes or 2pm for nine holes
  • Random drawing of partners to mix up participants and foster new contacts
  • Maybe an elective prize pool
  • Optional gathering afterwards for light food and drinks
  • Pick one course to get a league rate
  • Include the Goodlettsville and Gallatin chambers to increase networking opportunities

We need to know who would be interested so that we can see if it is worthwhile to talk to local courses and investigate rates.  This would not be a "chamber sponsored" event and as such each player would be responsible for their golf, food and drink costs.  No one at the chamber would coordinate or plan the event dates.  We would decide on the dates and organize it ourselves.

Send me your input and indication of interest.  You can just chose from some of the ideas above or make other suggestions. We will evaluate viability and get back to all those who have indicated an interest.
