The Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce is an active coalition of business and community leaders dedicated to helping members prosper.  We deliver on our mission through the efforts of a full-time professional staff and a volunteer Board of Directors.

Vice-Chair Advocacy:  have an impact on legislation and government by taking advantage of the Chamber’s advocacy initiatives.

Vice-Chair Promotion: promote your business with a wide variety of free and low-cost marketing opportunities.

Vice-Chair Support: support your business with educational programs designed to give you the skills you need for business success.

Treasurer: oversees the Chamber’s financial affairs and insures that the organization is in good standing.

About the Staff

 

Brenda Payne, President/CEO

As President/CEO of the Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce, Brenda Payne brings experience gained from professional as well as volunteer roles she has held over the years. Brenda served as the Board Chair for the Hendersonville Chamber in 1998-1999, but has stayed an active member throughout the years since. She most recently served as the Business Development Officer at Sumner Bank and Trust in Hendersonville.

Wendy Hughes, Vice President Operations

Wendy originally came to work for the Chamber in March of 2001.  She fulfilled the role of Office Manager and soon became a vital part of the staff.  In October of 2005, Wendy accepted a position with Sumner Regional Health Systems. She rejoined the Chamber as VP of Operations in September 2006.  Wendy moved to Hendersonville in 1992.  She has been married to Chris Hughes for 18 years and has two children, Brent and Heather Hughes.      

 


Amanda Runnels, Director of Marketing and Communications

Prior to moving to Hendersonville in the summer of 2005, Amanda worked in radio and communications for seven years.  She was a morning show host and office manager for three radio stations in Alamogordo, NM, and spent most of her spare time volunteering with many organizations.  Amanda currently serves as the board chair for TRAC, Inc. and is an active member with the General Federated Woman's Club of Hendersonville. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys singing, songwriting, running and playing fetch with her dog Chloe. 

Cassie Davies Morren, Office Assistant/Events Coordinator
Cassie is a graduate of Hendersonville High School and went on to the University of Tennessee to pursue a degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies with a minor in Business.  Upon completion of her degree, she returned to Hendersonville and completed an internship with the Country Music Association.  In February 2007, Cassie joined the staff at the Hendersonville Chamber and is now fulfilling the role of Office Assistant and Events Coordinator. In August, Cassie married Matthew Morren.
