Ambassadors are knowledgeable volunteers serving in a year-round effort as the customer service representatives of the Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce, and acting as a conduit between the Chamber staff and members.
Volunteers aid the Chamber with membership retention by making personal calls
to member key contacts. Volunteers encourage members to become involved
in the Chamber, and assist members in learning more about the Chamber. Ambassadors will inform and receive feedback on Chamber activities and programs.
Additional activities include serving as greeters at Business After Hours and monthly luncheons, as well as attending ribbon cuttings/grand openings.

Hendersonville Star News
Roy Adcock is an Advertising Account Executive with the Hendersonville Star News and Sumner County Publications of The Tennessean. He joined Sumner County Publications in August 2007. Roy’s goal is to offer and provide an advertising and media campaign to all area businesses, focusing on the customers’ needs and goals. Roy is a native of Hendersonville. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Marketing from Middle Tennessee State University. Roy lives in Hendersonville, and he and his fiancée, Hillary, are getting married in October.

Samantha Ford Barnett is an Associate Insurance Agent of the Sesler Nationwide Agency. She joined Cheryl’s team in the fall of 2007. Samantha’s previous experience was 16 years of management and customer service. She is licensed by the State of Tennessee as an insurance producer. The Sesler Agency is a full service property and casualty insurance agency serving our community for over 17 years. Samantha is a 14-year Sumner County resident married to Matthew “Shay” Barnett. They have three sons, Mark, Ryan and Kaleb. She and her family enjoy boating and water sports on Old Hickory Lake.

EarthWise! focuses on providing environmentally conscious products and methods to properly rid homes and businesses of pests. It is Deric’s wish to use this forum as an opportunity to further the whole environmental preservation agenda, getting the message out that everyone plays a role no matter how big or small it may seem. ITS Techs specializes in computer repair, installation, and support for small business and consumers in the Nashville, TN area. Their typical business customers have between 5 to 50 computers, relies on e-mail and requires Internet access. Customers hire ITS to support their network because they do not want to incur the cost of a full-time IT staff. ITS also works with home users that need technical assistance, repair, and a good understanding of where they stand with their existing computer hardware.

Verble Estate Preservation & Advisors, LLC
Therese Casler, CSA, is a case manager with Verble Estate Preservation & Advisors, LLC which specializes in legal, financial and case management assessments, estate preservation and Medicaid qualifications for nursing home. Therese has six children and two granddaughters and is active in church through her work in Haiti and as parish council chairperson. She serves on a number of boards including Senior Citizens of Hendersonville, Inc, and Hendersonville Lakeside Rotary. Her passion for seniors shows when assisting them and their families buffer the winds of change. Therese works in Brentwood, but likes to stay connected to Hendersonville through the Chamber.

Jenn graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Accounting. She began her accounting work with Hardee Accounting in 2004, making partner in three years. She obtained her certified public accountant license in 2007. Chairing the morning Leads Exchange for the Hendersonville Chamber, Jenn is very active in local networking. Jenn provides timely, knowledgeable, and professional payroll, bookkeeping, and tax services. She enjoys working with established and new small business owners on their path to building their company. She lives in Robertson County with her husband, Gavin.

Denise began her insurance career in 2005 after six years in the advertising business with Gannett Newspapers and 10 years in finance prior to Gannett. Her father retired from the Mississippi Farm Bureau after 38 years in the insurance business so you could say it is in her blood. Denise brings 19 years of customer service, sales/marketing, public relations, and finance experience to the W.E. Shaw and Associates Team. W.E. Shaw and Associates specializes in Employee Benefits and Individual Health Insurance.

Dean Germain is a marketing director, sales manager, and team lead for Reliant Realty. He joined Reliant realty in the fall of 2008 and has been in the housing/finance industry since 2002. Dean has been a resident of Sumner County since January of 2006. He looks to provide his customers with an informed, honest, and enjoyable home purchase. He became an ambassador to help promote the growth of the Hendersonville community and to help businesses become more involved in the community.

Kevin Gillingham, CSA has been in the insurance business for 22 years and is the owner of Safe Harbor Insurance in Hendersonville, an independent agency handling all lines of health and life insurance, specializing in the Medicare market. He has received numerous awards including Leading General Agent in 1994, Leading General Agency 1996, Presidential Club and Cabinet 1993, 1994, 1995. He received his Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) designation in 2001. Kevin has been married to his wonderful wife Theresa for 28 years and they have a beautiful daughter Melanie, who is in her 2nd year of college at Volunteer State.

From 1985 until 1998 Mike served as an officer and director for Cellstar Corp. the world’s largest cell phone distributor in Dallas, Texas. In 1998, he became the CEO/President of Focus Wireless until August 2001. In October 2001, he became the SVP of Nexterna, and remained there until December 2003. He relocated to Sumner County in July 2004 to accept the position of CEO/President of ForeFront Holdings Inc. a golf accessory company located in Springfield. In January 2008, Mike opened a business coaching franchise in Hendersonville known as The Growth Coach®. Mike is also a member of the Hendersonville Lakeside Rotary.

Dr. Megan Johnson is a 2007 graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO. Along with her Doctorate of Chiropractic, she holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Human Biology from Logan College and Exercise Science from UT, Knoxville. She is a 1999 graduate of Hendersonville High School. Dr. Megan’s goals are to educate parents and the community about women’s health, pregnancy, and pediatrics, focusing on chiropractic care and other natural treatment options. She just opened The Family Wellness Connection, located in the Carrier Chiropractic Clinic on Indian Lake Rd. At her office, “Chiropractic care is a family affair!”

Elisa’s financial background began with obtaining a Bachelors of Science Degree in Finance from Alabama A&M University. Afterwards, she completed a Masters of Business Administration at Tennessee State University. “Helping clients live financially comfortable lives,” is what Elisa Jones believes to be her calling. Her areas of specialization include fee-based planning and consulting. The market focus for Elisa would include individuals who are interested in no-load investment platforms as well as those individuals expecting to retire within 5 years. One fact she wants her prospective clients to know is, “I am looking for clients that are prepared for a life long relationship.”

Stacy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Tennessee Temple University and has lived in Hendersonville for 14 years. Stacy has four children: Stephen, Hailey, Tyler and Chloe and enjoys boating, fishing, and traveling.

Michele Owens has been with GreenBank for nine years. Michele is the Branch Manager of the Indian Lake Branch. She is committed to providing superior customer service and understands that successful businesses form a close relationship with their bank officer. Michele is a member of the Hendersonville Morning Rotary Club who also volunteers for many civic organizations. You will see her around town at various civic events, school functions, football games and Chamber of Commerce activities.

Ann Patterson is a Bank Officer with Sumner Bank and Trust, in their Loan Production Office. Ann moved to this area from Bowling Green, KY, 3 years ago. She previously worked at US Bank and National City Bank in Bowling Green where she was an active member and Ambassador with the Chamber of Commerce. Ann is a member of the Hendersonville Optimist Club and the Leadership Sumner Class of 2006. She and her husband, Michael, live in Gallatin and are partners in 2 small businesses, Mia Bella Candles and Gourmet Products, and Divine Threads, a clothing line from New York.

Meghan grew up in Hendersonville and graduated from The University of Tennessee-Martin. After four years in the cellular communications business, with Verizon Wireless, she took a few years off to stay at home with her three children. She is now with Electronic Cable Installation (ECI), and focuses on business telephone systems and enjoys helping local companies maximize their communication and office managing possibilities. ECI has been a member of the Hendersonville Chamber for over 3 years and Meghan has recently become a more active member through the Leads Exchange programs. She is also very involved with the Arthritis Foundation.

The Town Planner Calendar is just one aspect of the business. Community Planners also specialize in community magazines, post cards and brochures. Their hands-on customer service makes Community Planners a cut above the rest. Steve has been married for 22 years and is the proud father of five.

Ron and wife, Joyce, arrived in Hendersonville in 2007 to be with their daughter Debby Wiston, her husband Stuart and grandchildren Leo 3, Celia 2 years and Zev 4 months. Ron represented several nationally known women’s apparel companies and later served 10 years as Internet Sales Manager for an auto dealer in Richmond, VA. His experience in sales and Joyce’s experience in running her family’s business helped prepare them for their new business Dry Cleaning Door To Door. Their 400 clients love the fact that they pick up, and deliver the next day. They bring the cleaners to you!

After making the decision to leave corporate America, she launched her own multi-million dollar business as an Independent Consultant with a leading Skin Care, Health & Wellness Company – Arbonne International, a results-oriented company offering products that are Pure, Safe and Beneficial. Married for 27 years, Shelia and Jerial have two children, Audra (Jonathan) Hines and Dylan Woodall.
